Camelback Resort sits in the Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania in the United States, and it's the largest ski area in the region. Set within the forested Big Pocono State Park, its flat summit is ringed by wooded slopes, with views stretching into three states on a clear day. It has a lively, sociable feel, popular with day-trippers and weekenders, with a busy base area, a string of restaurants and bars, and a large on-site hotel built right into the mountain. The mountain covers 166 acres and 39 trails, with terrain for every level. There are terrain parks for freestyle skiers and riders too, with features from first-timer to advanced. The whole mountain is floodlit for night skiing, so the slopes stay busy and sociable well into the evening. Natural snowfall is light at this elevation, around 127cm a season, but Camelback covers every acre with snowmaking, so the trails stay reliable right through the season from December to late March.

Off the slopes, there's a relaxed, family-friendly après scene built around hearty comfort food, local craft beer, and a sociable base area where firepits keep things cosy in the evening. The dining runs from casual on-mountain bites to sit-down restaurants and a lively sports bar, so there's something to suit everyone. Camelback also has plenty going on beyond downhill skiing, with one of the largest snow tubing parks in the country, a winter mountain coaster, and an indoor waterpark kept at a warm 28°C year-round. All in all, Camelback makes for an easy, fun base, with plenty to do whether or not everyone in the group skis.
